Purpose of the Contest:

To provide a performance platform for piano students and encourage them to continuously improve their personal skills and musical accomplishment through performances and training.

Providing opportunities to participate in exchanges in the UK and broaden your horizons. The winners of the finals will have the opportunity to enter the Purcell School of Music in the UK without taking an entrance exam.

UK Finals and Music Camp August 11-17, 2019

Awards and Ratings:

Each category has gold, silver, bronze and honors awards, with no limit on the number;

There will also be one champion, one runner-up and one third runner-up.

(If there are less than five participants in an event, there will only be one champion for that event; if there are less than three participants in an event, there will be no ranking for that event.)

各組別之冠、亞、季軍按組別成績順序而定,項目冠軍須獲金獎成績,亞軍及季軍須獲銀獎或以上成績,如該項目沒有參賽者達到分數要求,獎項將會取消。

 

***選拔組之冠、亞、季軍將獲赴英總決賽之參賽資格,如參賽者放棄,其參賽資格將成績順序安排。

Outstanding Mentor Award:

Mentors/units who guide 5 or more contestants to participate in the competition will be awarded the "Excellent Piano Training Award"

If more than 5 contestants under the guidance of the instructor/unit win silver medals or above, they will be awarded the "Excellent Piano Instructor Award"

Download the registration form from our website, fill it out and return it together with a copy or image of the cheque or deposit receipt for the competition fee:

Competition Rules:

  1. All participants, once submitting the registration form, shall be deemed to have fully understood, accepted and agreed to abide by all the terms and conditions of the competition.

  2. All regulations, rules and information are subject to the latest announcement on the Internet. Each participant must pay attention to the announcement of the Association.

  3. Participants may choose to participate in more than one event, but cannot register for the same category more than once.

  4. The organizer is not responsible for checking whether participants are eligible to participate at the time of registration. Participants must prepare valid identification documents for organizer staff to verify their identity and eligibility on the day of the competition.

  5. Any person who does not meet the eligibility requirements, fails to comply with the requirements or violates the rules of the Association, whether before or after the competition, may be disqualified without further notice and the registration fee will not be refunded.

  6. All registration fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of the reason.

  7. The date, time, order of appearance and location of all competitions are arranged by the organizers at their sole discretion and participants are not allowed to object or make changes.

  8. The selection group must perform from memory; there is no restriction for other groups and participants can choose freely.

  9. When contestants perform, they do not need to repeat except for the instructions of DC and DS.

  10. If the judges believe that a contestant can be given a score or grade, they have the right to terminate the contestant's performance at an appropriate time without affecting the contestant's score.

  11. If the music played by the contestant is not within the scope of the competition, the judges have the right not to give any score.

  12. The judges have the final say on all artistic matters and no one may object.

  13. Seats at the competition venue will be reserved for participants of that competition first. If there are not enough seats at a particular venue, teachers or parents accompanying participants may not be allowed to enter.

  14. No communication or electronic devices may be used in the venue, and no photography, audio or video recording of any competition process (including the judges’ comments and announcement of the results) may be made. Violators will be asked to leave the venue.

  15. Anyone (including participants) who causes disturbance at the competition venue will be asked to leave or even disqualified from the competition.

  16. The copyright of all photos, videos and audios related to the event belongs to the organizers and organizers.

  17. Participants are required to take care of their personal belongings. The Association is not responsible for any losses.

  18. The venue rules are all set in accordance with the terms of the venue. Any violation will affect the eligibility to participate in the competition.

  19. The prizes and trophies will be distributed at the end of the event. Participants who are unable to collect them immediately can go to the designated location to collect them within two months after the end of the event. Otherwise, all relevant prizes and documents will be disposed of by the Association.

  20. The organizer has the highest and final say on any decision and judgment related to all competitions.

  21. The organizer reserves the right to modify and adjust the competition-related regulations, rules, prizes, judges and all competition arrangements. All modifications are subject to online announcement without prior notice.
